Time Out Youth Pride Guide

June has begun and it is officially Pride Month 2024! It’s a joyous time of year here at the Center, as we celebrate the rich history, diversity, and beauty of our LGBTQ+ family. We’re also reflecting on the long journey and hard-fought wins we’ve achieved over the years. We’ve come so far as a community since the Stonewall Uprising of 1969 that Pride Month stems from, but there is still a long way to go. This month we reflect on the tumultuous year of harmful bills, policies, and discrimination our community faces; especially our Black and brown and trans and non-binary siblings. Every day, Time Out Youth is working hard to create the world we want to see. One that empowers LGBTQ+ young people, celebrates who they are, and gives them the tools to make a difference. 

During pride month, we are very lucky to have the support of many community partners! If you are looking for a fun way to support our work, they have it. Want to see a concert? Grab a beer or a coffee? See aerialists? Add to your t-shirt collection? You can do all that and more, all while supporting Time Out Youth’s mission!

Give Back Weekend with Summit Coffee, May 31 – June 2

Join Summit Coffee On the Plaza and Summit Coffee Noda for Give Back Weekend! Swing by and grab a coffee, all while supporting us here at TOY. 10% of sales from May 31 – June 2 will go towards our work!

Ultra Violet Sapphic Night at Petra’s, May 31 from 8PM – 12AM

Come out to this amazing event featuring a dance party, DJ, and tarot card reading! It is hosted at Petra’s in Plaza Midwood and supports our work here at Time Out Youth! This event is 21+ and costs $10 at the door.

We The People Market at Free Range Brewing Co., June 1 from 12  – 5 pm 

Visit Free Range Brewing Company for this local market! The event features vintage clothing, tattoos, beer, food, and more. Time Out Youth is the charity recipient of the proceeds of this month’s vendor fees. 

ConCarolinas 2024 Charity Auction, June 1 from 7PM

Are you attending the longest running Sci-Fi & Fantasy Con in the Carolinas? Check out their charity auction on June 1! Proceeds go towards our services here at the Center. 

Skiptown CLT Pride Paw-rade and Drag Show, June 7 from 8 -10 PM

Join Skiptown CLT for a special Pride Paw-rade costume contest where your pup can win a prize, specialty drinks, and drag show to support our work here at TOY!

Pride Fundraising Flow at iShine Yoga and Wellness, June 14 from 6:30 – 7:30PM 

Join a donation-based, fun and prideful vinyasa flow led by Charlie Merlock, RYT 200, at iShine Yoga and Wellness in Huntersville. It is open to all levels with no registration required! All proceeds from the class will be donated to us at Time Out Youth. 

Aerial Pride Party at Hi-Wire Brewing CLT, June 14 from 7 – 9:30PM 

Work For Your Beer & Hi-Wire Brewing are collaborating on a series of aerial shows with local aerial troupe Cirque du Biere. They are excited to welcome folks to their first pride-inspired aerial show, which will include both improv and choreographed performances! Time Out Youth will receive a portion of the proceeds. All for Love Celebration with Crafty Beer Guys, June 15 from 12PM – 12AM 

Join Crafty Beer Guys Taproom and Bottle Shop in Huntersville for their 3rd annual pride event supporting Time Out Youth! This all-day celebration will feature live music, a food truck, DJ, music bingo, and more throughout the event. 

Binho Tournament, June 15 at 3:30PM

Hosted by Southbound & Crown and the QC Royals, come together for some friendly competition to support our mission here at TOY! Winner of the tournament will receive a Binho board. The entry fee is $20 and you can register HERE.

Pride Tee Tie-Dye Day at Birdsong Brewing, June 15 from 2 – 4PM

Come tie dye a pride tee with Birdsong Brewing! They’ll provide the supplies and tees, with shirts ready to go upon arrival. Shirts are $35, include a free beverage, and portion goes to support our work! Reserve your tee HERE.

Snug Music Awards hosted by Something Fun at Snug Harbor, June 20 from 8 – 11PM 

Something Fun presents the 2nd Annual Snug Music Awards, benefitting Time Out Youth! Hosted by Keisha and featuring local musicians, bands, and performers, this event will also showcase local businesses through a raffle. The Red Carpet begins at 8pm with the show starting at 9pm! This event is located at Snug Harbor in Plaza Midwood. Attendees must be 18+. Get your tickets HERE. 

Pride Bar Crawl hosted by Crawl With US, June 22 from 4PM – 12AM

Join Crawl With US as they support our work through the Pride Bar Crawl! The Bar Crawl will run from 4 – 10 pm, followed by an after party from 10pm – 12am. The crawl takes place over 5+ venues, and includes 2 drinks, a drag show, specials, and more! Get your tickets today by clicking HERE. Attendees must be 21+. 

You Drink, We Donate Night at NoDa Brewing Company, June 26 from 4 – 9PM

During this NoDa Brewing Company “You Drink, We Donate” event, $1 of every pint you purchase in the tap room will be donated to us here at Time Out Youth! Join us for a fun evening at NoDa Brewing!

Cardinal Rising

Local company Cardinal Rising released their first pride shirt design! This design is a part of their Cardinal Colony line of apparel that looks to bind the Charlotte community together through shining a light on a local organization. Prideraiser by the QC Royals

Are you a Charlotte FC fan? Consider joining the QC Royals annual Prideraiser, pledging a donation for each goal scored by Charlotte FC in June. We are so grateful for this fan effort to support our work each year! To learn more, visit HERE. 

The Jade Rabbit

$1 of every sale made at the Jade Rabbit, a queer-owned barbershop here in Charlotte, will be donated to Time Out Youth! This includes everything from shampoo, to haircuts, to deodorant. Come support our work and look fresh too!

Celebrate pride month with Hi-Wire Brewing! A portion of proceeds from Hi-Pitch IPA: Pride Edition 6-packs and all Pride Merch will go towards our work here at Time Out Youth!

Birdsong Brewing Co.

Enjoy the Better in Color citrus blonde ale, available all pride month long! Proceeds of this beer will be donated to support TOY!

Monday Night Garden Co.

Supporting Time Out Youth this month, $1 of every pint of Dr. Robot Berry Lemon sour purchased in the taproom will be donated!

PINE Event Venue

Our amazing 2024 Prom Venue has a pride special this month! Every time a full-day rental is booked in June, they will make a $100 donation! In addition, clients will receive 10% off on goods & décor and PINE will donate $50 whenever you spend $500 on those services.
