Therapy

At Time Out Youth, we recognize that there are many barriers in place for LGBTQ+ youth and young adults to access safe and affirming mental health care. Our clinical team works ardently to eliminate these barriers and provide accessible support by offering free and confidential mental health services. These services are for LGBTQ+ community members, ages 13-24, and are offered both virtually and in person.

Our clinicians offer: individual therapy, romantic partner therapy, gender affirming case management (to include HRT and surgery support letters), life skills training, and group therapy support. Each clinician is sex-positive, kink positive, and is trained in trauma first aid as well as crisis intervention.

Fill out our therapy request form to request counseling services from Time Out Youth. A member of our clinical services team will follow-up with you shortly via email to learn more about how we can help.

Please note that we are experiencing a high volume of referrals and are taking longer than is typical to schedule. If you are looking strictly for a referral elsewhere, please email us at info@timeoutyouth.org.

Okay, I signed up – what now?

After signing up for services, you can expect contact from a member of our clinical team via email to set up a check-in.

If you do not have an active email, please let us know.

This check-in helps our team, and you, determine if Time Out Youth is the best fit. If so, your assigned clinician will reach out shortly to schedule an intake. If not, no problem! We will connect you with a safe provider in the community that can better help you along your journey. (Time Out Youth prioritizes individuals without insurance or/and who are experiencing houselessness for clinical services)
